At first I was confused it with the old fifty paise coin but it was actually the 2011 new one rupee coin.The new 2011 one rupee coin is a little bit of smaller than the 1990 one rupee which has the thumbs up symbol on it, the exact size of the new 2011 one rupee coin is just as the 2001 fifty paise coin even the thickness and weight is same, ferratic Stainless Steel is the metal used to make the coin.
The head of the new 2011 one rupee coin has the same emblem of India and Satyameva Jayate written in Hindi and the tail of the coin has the new rupee symbol on top of the coin and has two lotus with leaves on two sides and the 1 numeric in the middle and the year 2011 at the bottom.
